Sale and Jo Morton Club

Drove south of Atlanta last week-end to see what used to be a great craft show. Discovered it is no longer very good, but when I stopped at a LQS on the way home, it turned out to be all but out of business and I got the above fabrics and book half-price.

Then Tuesday night was the first installment of a Jo Morton Club class. Hooray, Jo Morton Club has finally come to the Atlanta area! Jo had just spoken to a quilt guild the week before as well and the LQS borrowed some quilt samples from Jo so that we could see them. Pictures follow. The first pattern really looks like fun, with an appliqued center block (last photo).

Ooooh, I love those quilts, are they all ones you'll be making in the club? I really like her fabric lines.
*hugs*

What is the shop that is closing? I have a friend in Atlanta, and I like to keep track of quilt shops there, just in case I visit and she takes me shopping..... (she's not a quilter, so I have to keep track of these things myself.)

Those are lovely quilts. Is it like a BOM club where you get all the fabric and pattern? The colours are beautiful. Have fun making them !

Jo's Little Women projects are just wonderful. They are small and you can get a whole project done with no UFO's...Enjoy!

Wonderful quilts, and they all look like such fun to make! Now you've done it...I'll have to start ANOTHER collection of fabrics and add MORE to the list of quilts I want to make!

Hi Karen, what a great buy on that fabric and books! Always sad when a shop closes it's dooor for the last time. I so happy you stopped in and it benefits both of you gals.
I'm not familiar with Jo Mortons classes, but the pics you show are wonderful. My most favorite patterns are the tradition ones, tried and true. It will be fun to see what you decide to do with your new fabrics. Hugs, Finn

What great quilts- I like all of them! I don't want to like them so much, I have enough stuff waiting to be done. So, where is the club, Little Q?? I have to go this week for October's buck a block.
