Some of you have asked for directions, so here is a link to a page for the directions that I had: Pillowcase Written Directions , Step 2 of which I could not visualize until actually seeing it. Here is my drawing of Step 2, where you layer all the fabrics in preparation to do one seam:
After you sew the seam and pull the "hot dog" out, you have this with no raw seams:
Hope it makes sense. Enlarge it to see it better.

Wow, thanks for the pillowcase directions, Karen! I make a lot of them but always disliked raw seam edges! I learn so much from your blog!!!!
Thanks for the link and the drawing. I have these directions somewhere, but can't find them. I've printed them and your drawing so that when I finally get around to making some...I can understand how to do them.
Thanks so much for the pillowcase instructions! I'm like Vera, I love making pillowcases but hate the raggy seams. :> Can't wait to try this one!
Thanks so much for sharing your pattern and your added directions! Please continue to enlighten us..love your blog!
What a great way to make a pillowcase. I will be trying it soon.
Another quilting Karen here! I just found your site and am enjoying going back through the archives and looking at all the pretty pictures.
I did an entry about these pillowcases on my journal, too, taking photos of each step so I could have a reference for the next time; it's here.
Thank you so much for the directions and illustrations for this method of making pillowcases. I hope to try it very soon.
I can't wait to try making these!! What great Christmas gifts!!!
These are such fun to make *s* I love to give them to kids. It's not such a commitment of time and fabric to make a case out of novelties.
Thank you so much for directions and the drawings which I'm sure will be much needed when I get a chance to try this. Love your blog. Maggie
Thanks so much for sharing the pillowcase directions. I really need to make some of those for xmas gifts.
Wow those are really great! Thanks for taking the time to post about them.
Yup -- I love making pillowcases, too! Two yards per set helps bust the stash!
Jeanne :)
How nice of you to draw a picture! I made one of these from written directions and it took me forever to figure out what I should do! I just bought a bunch of birthday fabrics on sale to make Happy Birthday pillowcases for all my nieces and nephews (one per family, since only one person at a time needs it!).

I lost my pattern to thehot dog pillowcase and I wonder if somebody could e mail the yardage and measurements to cut. I made one of these on a quilt retreat now all my kids want one. HELP!
