Why didn't you guys tell me how much fun it is to make these pillowcases? This is fun! It's a real stashbuster procedure, too, although I have to confess:
I don't really care if I use up my stash. It's actually one of my Treasured Collections. LOL. Still, it's fun to pull out an entire yard and use it up instantly. Now you all know how to make these so that all of the seams are hidden, right? I had the directions, had seen it demonstrated last winter, but when it came time to do it myself on Saturday (trying to make my son's Georgia Tech one), I simply could not understand the directions and had to drive over to the LQS to have Muriel show me how it's layered. Back at home, I drew a huge picture of the layers for future reference, as occasionally I am a Bear of Little Brain.
So do you like my coverlet? I got it at the secondhand store for five dollar-os. That's a great old quilt top wrapped around the bolster that I got at the now-defunct-and-much-lamented Lakewood Fairgrounds show for $15. I keep thinking I will make it into bolster covers, special ordered the two bolsters, got lining fabric, but have yet to cut up the top.

I love your pillowcases...please share your pattern with us. Thanks so much!
I've seen but not made yet the pillowcases. One of my longarm customers made several for gifts and brought them by to show me sometime ago. She had used probably the same pattern and had quite a variety of theme fabrics. I would say you have some great bargains there!
Love your pillowcases! Your fabrics are just wonderful! And your thrifted treasures are great! Would you share your pillowcase pattern (and large drawings too :> cause I'm pattern-challenged :/) with us??? Pretty please???? :>
I haven't made any pillow cases yet but it sure looks like fun. Please tell us the secret to showing no seams!

I've made pillow cases before, but have never seen this method. Very cool!!!
One year for Christmas, DD made pillow cases for all of her friends. They loved them!
I LOVE making pillowcases! Yours are very cool. I make them for holidays, kids going off to college, all kinds of presents and my favorite is that I have enough Christmas patterned pillowcases to have them on every bed at Christmas. Thanks for reminding me how fun they are!
