You know, I'm beginning to think that a stack of UFOs is friend, not foe. Yesterday, I "shopped" through mine and decided to pull out the little Renee Plains Brown Bird plastic bin and work on that in favor of the many more near-the-surface projects. UFOs are FUN not foe :) That quilt is precious!
Hi Karen, what fun! Stopping by your blog is just like dropping in at your house for a visit!! No worry for you about a clean house orfor me, if you are home *VBS*. I get to see all the neat goodies you are working on....such fun! Great job on the Brown Bird..it looks wonderful, don't you wonder why you waited so long??
BOM's looking good..gotta remember that make more than 1 for another time!
Love the dress form w/apron. And yes, the pattern is probably mid to late 50's into early 60's. A good "clue" is the price, and how sophticated the printing looks. I married in 1959 and cobbler aprons were getting to be the big thing. A take off from the smock look.
Advance was a pretty big pattern company still in the 1940, but coverall long aprons were still the 'norm' then. Lots and lots of old patterns to be had at the thrift stores these days. I usually check, even tho I don't make clothes much anymore. I'll have to see if I have one I can share with you..*VBS* Hugs, Finn
Oh how cute! I love it! I am usually one for bright, but this is just lovely.
What a great UFO to finish...love how it turned out! I just pulled that pattern from my stash and put it in the to-do pile...
Very pretty!
Congrats on removing a UFO from your list! It is so cute, too. I seem to do more rearranging than finishing with my stack.
yet another inspirational moment!
