This week's BB Suffrage block is a schoolhouse and has to do with the shocking lack of education available to women in the first few centuries of America's colonial and early republic life, i.e., how when Lucy Stone wanted to go to college, the only option was Oberlin. I have always been so proud of the fact that Oberlin is in Ohio, my birth state. The background areas in the block are sections of an old map of the Oberlin College area.

Yours is a true SUFFRAGETTE quilt. I'm new to your blog. Is there a post on how you reproduce these pictures or is there fabric out there? It makes the quilt so perfect. Very impressive.
This has to be one of the coolest blocks I have ever seen, Karen! First of all, I love the Schoolhouse block, and your fabric choices are wonderful. I'm most impressed by how you incorporated those sections of the old map of Oberlin College into the block! What will you think of next?! Wow!
