An angel, C., an angel with a longarm, let me come over to her house to get this quilt (destined for the East Cobb Quilt Show) quilted. So far so good. Sadly, in a moment of madness, I decided the only suitable border was a scalloped one following the pattern in the print. Nice, eh? Only it turns out it is not possible to sew the binding on to by machine. Too curvy. So I have resorted to glue and hand-stitching to attach it. Pray for me.

Karen I'll keep my fingers crossed that the glue will hold, at least long enough to make it through the show. I'm anxious to see the finished quilt. I wondered if you had a chance to use that red and green print.
I love that border fabric, I am lucky to have it in my closet waiting for the right project
oh no I doubt I will do a scalloped border!
hope you haven't set the standard for this fabric!

Nice DJ block!
Are the curves too close together for regular machine stitching?
Great solution to your binding problem and as always, a great DJ block. I am looking forward to seeing your quilts at the East Cobb show. I'll be taking my furlough Friday that day and I'll just *have* to go to Little Quilts probably also.
Why can't it be done by machine?
Best wishes to your scallops and I hope they get well soon!
Oh Karen, are you making trouble for yourself again? I am sure it will be fabulous!
Good luck with the scallops! I would never be that brave!
Ai yai yai! A scalloped border! Lord, give Karen patience!
