a rainy day

A rainy day today...

Bored, Rembrandt decided to take a bath.

This Stickle block went OK (well, actually, it didn't, but I won't embarrass myself by talking about it):

The next Stickle was a triangle.  TR08.  At first I thought I would do reverse appliqué as Anina did but as always wondered about piecing it, became interested in the relation of the angles to one another in the original, and also thought it would be nice if all three of the smaller triangles were the same size since it looked to me like maybe that (wacky and wild) Jane had that in mind, so drafted a version:

Rembrandt cracks me up - I never saw a cat laying in a basin before!
Your DJ blocks look entirely wonderful, and I especially love how you've redrafted the triangle. I'm glad I'm not the only one redrafting things because I want all the pieces the same size.

Your DJ blocks are always so inspirational! But you know the real reason I come to your blog - to see my adopted cyber cat - Rembrandt! So cute in the sink there! LOL. I used to have a cat that would curl up in the shallow galvanized tub of water in the yard that we had placed there for the dogs to drink from. He was the only cat I have ever seen that liked to get in water.

Rembrandt cracks me up! He is so much like my cat Goldie...she has laid claim to the guest bathroom sink!

Your DJ blocks are wonderful....

Rembrandt is just one of the silliest cats! Too cute! She just molds herself to whatever she is in. Your Dear Jane blocks are wonderful. Great fabrics.

Maxwell loves to sleep like that...Noodle curls up in the TUB!

I love you triangle version...much simplier! I figured if I did that one, I'd applique the triangles on the white background... not reverse applique!

Boy I'm loving how this turned out. Of course the fabric is pretty, too.

Kanga is here and is waving her paw at Rembrandt. I'm trying to tell her to chill out, he wont wave back, he's famous, he reads!!!

My cat Harry is so big he would never fit into the bathroom sink, so he stretches out in the bathtub! I always love to see your Dear Jane blocks. Thanks for posting them.

Hi Karen
It's been awhile since I visited (again); time is so spastic for me and where in the world does it go???
Love this template. I have not conquered curves yet. Would love to try this.
Your kitty is like mine; always in the most unexpected places. It's a reminder to me to have my camera in my pocket at all times.
Always blessed,
Blondie
