Lincoln's Platform Finished

It's done. Brought it for Show and Tell this morning at BOM LQS. If I ever get a quilt completely done like this one is, I'm as thrilled about that simple fact as I am about the quilt itself! I love the black toile border. It is Jefferson County by Michael Miller, not sure how old it is, not real old, but it was in my stash. I had to piece all of the sections and one end has three stacked pieces. Well, patchworking is the name of this game, eh? :-)

It's hard to see, but I graduated all of the prairie point colors in a (reproduction style that is) rainbow sequence.

Wow the prairie point edge is wonderful, and that toile is great too. And I'm the same as you, getting any project to a state of completion is an achievement. Well done!

NEAT! (I love the toile & hte prairie points - so glad they are arranged in a way that mirrors the blocks instead of randomly all over. & I already mentioned how I like the way you did the borders on the shoo flies - mono-chromatic, but different colors!) YAY You!

Sorry to hear about the crappy job....

What a great idea using the toile for the border - I don't think I would have ever thought of doing that! Changes the look of the blocks completely. What a wonderful quilt this has turned out to be. The prairie points are a nice touch along the edge.

Any chance you can find yourself a different job? Life is just too short to be so miserable!

It's more beautiful, Karen, than I could have imagined! It has such a quaint, old-worldliness (a word?) to it. Gorgeous! Give yourself a good pat on the back.
