The latest Stickle block. G2. I didn't like it as it was, so I moved some lines around in EQ6:
The versions that others made that follow the pattern, however, are very attractive. Looks sort of like a pair of arrowheads.
Yesterday, I attended Barbara Barnes' class on Big Stitch Quilting at Little Quilts that she has been teaching, incidentally, for six years. I have wanted to take it for ages, and I can tell you, it is one fine class. Take it if you can. Her big stitch quilting is legendary for who knows how far around for its beauty. Barbara gives you her whole method for doing the stitch in the class, plus her advice on thread, needles, batting, basting, and backing.

That Jane..what a quilt. You are making such progress.
OK so now I want to take Barbara's Class. But then maybe my regular hand quilting actually is BIG STITCH.I might already have perfected it.

You are clever with your blocks, mine are having a break for the summer!
Wow I LOVE the colors of your Dear Jane. I found your blog from Gwendie's Quilts blog.
Karen your fabric choice for the latest DJ block is perfect. The finished section is really impressive.
Oh how I wish I lived close enough to take classes at Little Quilts. Every class you describe sounds better than the ones before it.
Oh how I would love to take that big stitch class. I just knew there were tips and tricks to it beyond 'make your stitches big' *s*

I'm so impressed with your Dear Jane! How did you like the IJ tunic pattern? It's been on my list for a while, but I just haven't gotten around to it yet. Glad to see you're making the most of your summer break; reality will set in soon enough!
Wow, look at all of those Dear Jane's. She would be so proud of you. Me, I'm simply amazed.
The first three rows look wonderful and I like your version of G-2.
