I have lots of Show and Tell for you from Jo class last night, but hey, we must write this blog chronologically, eh? so:
Went to the Ellijay area in north Georgia on Sunday with Beloved Son to get some apples right where they were grown since we have eaten up all of my own.

Apple picking . . . what fun.
That log cabin is just fabulous! That was one lucky horse *s*

The featherstitching on the courthouse steps is amazing!

I went to Ellijay years ago and bought Arkansas Black apples and made homemade applesauce. YUM! Did you buy cider too? Hmmm now I need to go to the farmers market and buy both! Poor quilt--maybe it was used for moving or storage?
Amazing quilt(s). Did they smell like horses? Can't believe all the intricate work on these. And they were so well used! Looks like you and Timmy had fun at the orchard.Oh-you have a picture missing. Is it your crow?
Love apple picking! Autumn here in Georgia has been really beautiful this year.
And do I even go on about the barbecue...I missed it while living overseas!
All that lovely embroidery
I can see why she bought it! All that handstitching is just amazing.
There are nothing as nice as apples freshly picked.
Looks like you had perfect weather for a very fun day.
I'm enchanted with the quilt... ever thought about the hands that made it. The apple trees are beautiful. I'd hold onto those photos to get me through a tough winter.
