The Little Applique Bag
Day Job has switched to a different school, elementary level rather than high school, which means I have duty three times a day outside of the media center. Now you know a quilter cannot just stand around when she could multi-task, so I am wearing this bag I just made and put in a few stitches on the fly during the first morning duty time when I am greeting students in the corridor :-).
All I need are the scissors, ripper, toothpick, thread, needle, and a few tiny pins.

You are a very clever girl!
What a cute little bag and a great use of time.
Very smart...you may even find some little quilters out there.

What do thye say about idle hands? LOL We sure do find ways of keeping them busy don't we?:)
That's a great little bag, Karen. And what a creative idea!

Cyndi
good for you!
its adorable and oh I think I love the quilt its on top of :)
hmmm are you reproducing that one
You might want to add some fabric to your list. :o)
What constitutes "Duty?" (I'm sure your son can regail you on KP duty...)
Such a cute, practical bag, Karen. Isn't it nice we can find portable projects to fill in those empty minutes? My DH doesn't get it. "Can't you just sit still and do nothing?" Nope.
That's a great bag. You're lucky your eyesight is good enough to stitch without extra light or magnification.
Oh, Karen, I was an elementary school librarian for twelve years -- many (not-so-fond) memories of recess duty and lunch duty.

What a clever idea. It would also work well for sock yarn and socks.
I like the fabric you used for the bag. A handy thing to have for the job situation you have. I used to be able to knit at work while waiting on phone calls to come in until a supervisor from another department saw me doing it. My supervisor did not care as long as I kept up with calls and there was no other work to do. I knitted for a charity at that time. I switched to reading and crossword puzzles after the other supervisor complained.
How adorable is that!!! Leave it to you to carry your craft so conveniently. Well, you do have quite a bit of stitching to do!
Wonderful bag,I like to keep busy to and when you are creating something like you just did, go for it!
Just found your blog through another and I will visit you again. I didn't see your follower button or I would have clicked on it. Do you have one?
Thanks for sharing! Carolyn from Des Moines, Iowa
I love it!
I have a friend who used to carry knitting in the car to do at red lights, lol.
