You may be able to see Rembrandt's dusty pawprints on the secretary door. I don't even want to know how she managed to hang upside-down in mid-air with no support of any kind long enough to leave such distinctive pawprints. Sigh.
Timmy called two Sundays ago from Camp Le Jeune. He was ecstatically happy with his situation. He said the officers were no longer hollering at them.
However. He has not called since. No call so far today. If I do not hear from him, I will call the base tomorrow. I hope he realizes that :-) .
update: Luckily for Timmy, he just called. He is so happy. He has been shooting rocket launchers.

that green block...makes my heart beat just a bit faster than it should...sigh
Oh that boy of yours makes me laugh! Don't bother him, he is playing with explosives!
Beautiful blocks. I love that you fussy cut them. They aren't hard enough for you apparently.
Love your blocks! We have 3 sons and I sure wouldn't hold my breath waiting for a phone call from them. Hee Hee! Let's face it! Guys aren't thinking about their mothers all the time. I'm glad he called! Mine are actually pretty good about calling.
Ah, the rocket launchers. Makes my hubby's heart go pitty-pat. Your Stickle progress is giving me major guilties. That green one is divine.
I'm glad you finally heard from your son. Rocket launchers???!!! Too funny. Love your DJ blocks!
*whew* so glad to hear that Timmy called!
Don't you think they were made by his back paws and he was hanging down from the top? He probably jumped.
Glad Timmy is still enjoying the Marine Corp.
Two excellent Dear Jane blocks! Love the fussy cutting on the first one and my heart beats a little bit faster with the green one too!
LOL, my son would be thrilled. If they only knew what that did to a mother's nerves. lol
I just discovered your blog and I'm very happy that I did. I've collected all the fabrics for Jane's quilt, but am a little hesitant to start it. Maybe watching your progress on your blocks will give me the kick start I need.
It is odd how our animals talk to us, isn't it!!
Isn't life interesting? Acrobatic cats that send feline mind messages about applique, to boys playing with rocket launchers. I think your blocks show that you are very calm despite it all!
You know--- that kid's a keeper.... I always tell my daughter: Look at how the guy treats his Mom....if he checks in, that kind of thing....a definite keeper.
Love your blocks...Never had the tenacity for that kind of quilt...Yours will be beautiful...
For his sake please do not call! My Mom did that to me when I was in the service...worse she ran into Senator Kennedy at a Library opening and mentioned to him she couldn't get in contact with me...so, not a good thing!
