A Block, A Gift, A Pet, and a Plea

Poor Anina is too sick with flu to post a DJ block tutorial, so I decided to do the next block in Row C (only two blocks to go now, and they are much more sensible blocks than this one is (!). There are eight of these beeny paper piecing sections for one part of it:

And voilĂ , le bloc, C07, you little rascal:

Betty sent me this cute sign for my sewing studio; thank you, Betty, I love it!

a quiet affectionate moment with one's pet that is apparently part domestic cat, part wolverine:

Here is my plea. I want to see this magazine, Where Women Create. There are two issues so far. Would any kind soul out there in QuiltyLand be willing to mail these to me and I will pay postage both ways and try to find it in my horrid little soul to include a Small Giftie along with the returned magazines:

I want to see inside these two issues.

Hmmmm....I'll keep my eyes open for them but I don't think I've seen them before.

Karen, I saw the 1st issue at my local Boirders earlier this week so I'll see if they still have it. I'm going to a B & N in a few minutes to pick up a quilt book they have for me so I'll look there too and let you know if I get them. The first one was really nice but a bit pricey.

Karen - I have the premier issue and I'd be happy to pass it on to you. I will be at LQ for 2nd Saturday on the 14th, so I could leave it there for you and avoid the whole mail thing. Let me know if you are interested.

Rembrandt is not declawed - ouch! Great comment - part domestic pet, part wolverine -- still so cute.

Re: Where Women Create - I love the concept but what I saw was mostly shabby chic types of rooms - so not me, but there were some ideas for storage and display I liked, just not so much of it - I need calmer space to create - sensory overload comes to mind. But worth a look through for sure.

I love that lamp! I haven't seen one in ages. Where did you find it?

Zoom went up and bit my friend when she was here visiting. It drew blood. I felt like the lady with the chimp.

Mary Engelbreit's Home companion magazine used to have special issues that featured studio spaces. It was GREAT! Unfortunately, the magazine was just discontinued along with another favorite of mine...

Seeing that tiny piece of paper merely confirms my opinion that you're all Mad!Keryn continues to labour away, but hasn't complained yet- it's early days....
I love the fierce look in Rembrandt's eyes, but the claws aren't really dug in, are they? She's still just playin?

I have both issues and would be happy to loan them to you...Call me and let me know if you want them. I can send them right away if you wish.

I agree with Jo's comments above.

You opened an email address in Jo Morton's name, didn't you! So everyone will think that she is emailing YOU! Haha. You are NOT funny.

I don't know, I think it's funny.

I also think that Rembrandt is merely defending herself from what is obviously a death grip; poor kitty.

I'd like to check out those (Where Women Create) magazines, too, but I have a hard time paying so much for a magazine, must be the Dutch in me. I'm hoping to run across them at a yard sale someday, or if I find a friend that has them, I'll BEG!
