Pillowcase Directions

Some of you have asked for directions, so here is a link to a page for the directions that I had: Pillowcase Written Directions , Step 2 of which I could not visualize until actually seeing it. Here is my drawing of Step 2, where you layer all the fabrics in preparation to do one seam:

After you sew the seam and pull the "hot dog" out, you have this with no raw seams:

Hope it makes sense. Enlarge it to see it better.

Thanks for the link and the drawing. I have these directions somewhere, but can't find them. I've printed them and your drawing so that when I finally get around to making some...I can understand how to do them.

Thanks so much for the pillowcase instructions! I'm like Vera, I love making pillowcases but hate the raggy seams. :> Can't wait to try this one!

Another quilting Karen here! I just found your site and am enjoying going back through the archives and looking at all the pretty pictures.

I did an entry about these pillowcases on my journal, too, taking photos of each step so I could have a reference for the next time; it's here.

These are such fun to make *s* I love to give them to kids. It's not such a commitment of time and fabric to make a case out of novelties.

Yup -- I love making pillowcases, too! Two yards per set helps bust the stash!

How nice of you to draw a picture! I made one of these from written directions and it took me forever to figure out what I should do! I just bought a bunch of birthday fabrics on sale to make Happy Birthday pillowcases for all my nieces and nephews (one per family, since only one person at a time needs it!).
